Hello again! I hope you’ve all had a cracking Easter (pun fully intended). As the sun is still shining as the bank holiday weekend comes to an end, I thought I’d share some of the things that I’ve been wearing as the sudden heat has approached us.
As the weekend started, I spent Good Friday in Newcastle as a mini break just before the Easter holidays end. As the weather peaked up to 23 degrees, I went for some thin gingham yellow trousers from Primark, which I paired with a white halter neck top from Miss Selfridge. I also wore my plain white Converse for some comfort as I knew I’d be walking around a lot, and then I topped it off with a little white faux snakeskin bag from Topshop I got last year, as well as my purple cardigan that never leaves my back.
For the night time, the original plan was to go out for a meal and maybe a few drinks afterwards, however we just ended up ordering room service and watching Dr Strange instead! So, I spent the night in the hotel room with this pink satin slip dress from Pretty Little Thing, which I wore with a black belt and little kitten heels from Primark.
For Saturday, I was coming home and heading straight to work, so I decided to go for something a bit casual but suitable for the continuing hot weather. This gingham dress is from Primark, which I’ve teamed with my white Converse and purple cardigan as usual. This outfit also included the same white bag from the day before, as I’d only brought one handbag with me to Newcastle.
Bank holiday Sunday obviously meant a trip to the pub, yet I went to visit my grandad before hand. He said I was ‘dressed very brightly as usual’ and that ‘it’s lovely to see, as I get it from him’ which is very true, since we often do coincidentally dress in similar colours whenever we see each other.
I decided to just go for some shorts from Primark that I got a few years ago, with a pyjama cami that was also from Primark too (Always check out the pyjama section for some comfortable yet simple tops!). For my bag I chose my Alexa Chung gingham handbag that was a Christmas gift a year ago, as it’s an easy day to day bag to fit all the necessities in.
And as for today, bank holiday Monday meant a final day of relaxation before going back to college to focus on the remainder of my FMP. So, it was a short walk along a bridal path to go for food at the local bistro, wearing an old polo top from H&M with a pleated midi skirt from Primark. Carrying my Alexa Chung handbag again, I decided to pair the outfit with my Shrimps X Converse doodled trainers as well as the classic purple cardigan. (However, it didn’t take long for me to realise
So this is the end of my bank holiday weekend outfits. I hope you enjoyed this slight change of topic in comparison to my usual posts!
